Our first community clothing drive brought together students, families, and local support in a meaningful way.

Over the course of two weekends in Fair Oaks, California, we collected donations to support the greater Sacramento unhoused community. Some items were gathered through community pickups, while others were dropped off by individuals who wanted to contribute.

By the final day, the response had grown significantly. We received nearly three times the amount of donations we had collected up to that point, filling over three truck beds with clothing, shoes, tents, sleeping bags, and essential items, totaling an estimated 800–1,500 pounds.

Every item was personally sorted by our team to ensure it was clean, usable, and respectful of those receiving it. The donations were then distributed through California Health Works, Citrus Heights HART, Fair Oaks and Orangevale HART, and Living Water to help clothe and support unhoused members of our community.

This effort reflects the same mindset we bring to education, showing up, taking initiative, and following through.
