Kristie Cheung

Kristie earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Washington, where she developed a strong foundation in literature and composition. She later also obtained her English Teaching Credential at California State University, Long Beach, which allowed her to master skills in educational pedagogy.

Over the past two years, Kristie has taught English, writing, and reading comprehension to students from a wide range of backgrounds and learning levels. At the core of her teaching philosophy is the belief that building confidence comes first. When students believe in themselves, stronger outcomes follow.

Teaching 12th grade English deepened her passion for helping students prepare for life beyond high school. She takes pride in supporting young adults as they explore their next steps, whether that path leads to college or a specific career. This work has fueled her growing commitment to college and career readiness advising.
