Franklin Smith

Tutoring over 400 students from over 20 different US States has taught Franklin the importance of impactful tutoring. Franklin Smith co-founded Academic Armor to make a real difference for students who sometimes feel that learning can be intimidating and overwhelming. He earned his degree in Kinesiology where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with High Honors and eight straight dean's list awards. Franklin has experience helping the community at physical therapy clinics, nursing homes, and teaching as a learning assistant and academic tutor.

Over the years, Franklin has worked with students from elementary school to college, and he’s learned that no two students are the same. What he loves most about tutoring are the connections he builds and the moments when a student finally feels confident in a subject that once seemed impossible.

Franklin started Academic Armor to create a space where every student feels supported, motivated, and capable of success both in and out of the classroom.

When he’s not tutoring, you’ll find Franklin staying active by playing basketball, running, or golfing. Growing up in Southern California, he also loves spending time at the beach with his friends, family, and his dog, Ozzy.
